We offer agile and flexible educational programs that compliment student-patients’ unique needs.

Student-patients that are staying at your rehabilitation clinic face a number of challenges, and no single situation is the same as the last. This is also true for their educational needs. Student-patients need individual attention and need to feel some amount of control. They need more than a teacher—they need someone to provide normalcy and engagement.

education inc. focuses on three key areas to help you ensure that you and your student patients accomplish your goals:

Quality and Compliance

In most cases, children at rehabilitation centers are required to continue academic progress, and we’ll help you maintain accountability and compliance with local, state and federal requirements.

Low / No Cost

We manage all aspects of the educational program so you don’t have to, all while operating at low—or even no—cost to you (depending on your program). This way, you can focus on therapeutic services, rather than learning about patient education.

Real Credit

Our high level of communication with schools provides your student-patients with their own school work, allowing them to get credit. Students without access to their own work gain access to our proven and custom curriculum—which they also receive credit for.

"…and the kids were like 'excuse me! This is my teacher; get out of the way I want to go to class!' "

We Help You Ensure Student-Patient Engagement

Academic continuity is key and integration with students, parents, and schools is critical.

Communication and integration are two of the most critical elements of an education program in this environment. The success of the program and of the student-patients relies heavily on communication and integration between:

  • Teacher(s) and rehabilitation center floor staff—we connect daily during team meetings
  • Teacher(s) and rehabilitation center leadership team—we connect quarterly during program review
  • Teacher(s) and school districts—upon admission, we contact the child’s school district and then guidance counselor immediately
  • Teacher(s) and parents—we are available to address questions and concerns from parents, as well as enlist their help when needed for communication with schools
  • Teacher(s) and rehabilitation center teacher(s)—we have a network of teachers that work together to help each other improve

What Makes Us the Best – Teachers

To drive success, it’s important that our teachers develop strong bonds with student-patients and their families.

  • First, we work with you to identify essential certifications and competencies that a teacher needs to have based on your knowledge of your population.
  • Second, we follow the steps outlined in Topgrading® to identify the top candidates for this position.
  • Third, we invite you to participate in the recruitment process. This can include, but is not limited to, observing them teach during their demonstration day and/or conducting the final interview.
  • Last, and once hired, we implement Individual Development Plans and professional development activities that teachers participate in on a bi-weekly basis. Our network of teachers work and train together regularly to strengthen their skills in this environment.
